Not the CEOs of corporations getting billions of dollars in contracts and subsidies, or government officials themselves. No, just folks applying for welfare or unemployment. As he awaits word that his car has been repaired, Cataplexis is sitting and blogging from a coffee shop. WiFi is a powerful draw.
The blogosphere has been alive recently with discussions of Charles Murray’s new book, Coming Apart. Cataplexis is still trying to figure out what he thinks of Murray’s core arguments, but he knows that he likes Nicholas Kristof’s take.
Here’s a link to a better exposition of the PRRI survey of attitudes toward the contraceptive mandate Cataplexis reported on a couple of days ago.
Also, Cataplexis will be up with his first (very, very, preliminary) 2012 electoral vote analysis later today or tomorrow.
From Andrew Cohen at The Atlantic, who thinks the vote of Justice Anthony Kennedy will be decisive. Cohen thinks he’s likely to side with Prop 8’s opponents. Fingers crossed.
